This includes commuter flights to/from international airports as long as it is booked as one ticket. The good news is that International flights out of the USA still allow 2 bags up to 50 lbs (22 Kg) each plus carry on with no additional charge. I can't speak for Ryanair but if you are checking in any baggage they are going to fleece you. I also put my carbon seatboard in the small wheelie bag as it has broken in the past in the checked in bag. I have a smaller wheelie bag for my clothes and instruments. This avoids a charge for sports equipment. I use a big wheelie bag for my wing, helmet and harness Its a size 24 wing and a cocoon harness. Some people take their helmets as carry on - this is a good idea if you have one of the those crumple zone type fragile helmets, But if you have a hard type helmet like my Plusmax there is no worries.
